Chemical tanker shipping · Since 1987
Oudcomb B.V. builds and operates high-quality chemical tankers. With our own fleet – built entirely in-house – we put our knowledge and experience to work for the swift, safe and careful transport of chemicals on Europe’s inland waterways.
01 — About Oudcomb
Oudcomb B.V. is a true family business. Since 1987, Oudcomb has built and managed its own fleet of high-quality, stainless steel, double-hulled chemical tankers.
Transporting chemicals by inland waterway is, so to speak, in our DNA. Current owner Sjaak Oudakker (1966) started out in 1987 – as the youngest ship owner and captain on the Dutch rivers and the Rhine – with an older mineral oil tanker, the mts Travia. Shortly afterwards he merged with his father, who also owned several tankers and tank push barges. All vessels were sold, and in 1992 the first double-hulled chemical tanker built in-house slid down the slipway.
In the years that followed, father and son expanded the fleet from one to six high-quality chemical tankers with stainless steel cargo tanks. In 2011 Sjaak Oudakker Sr. sold his half of the shares to Sjaak Oudakker Jr. Today the next generation is on board as well: Dominique Oudakker (1992) for QHSE and Yannick Oudakker (1993) for technical management.
There is no better combination than the OUDakker COMBination.
On course since 1987

Oranje Nassau VII · arrival in the Netherlands
03 — New to the fleet
This 135-metre chemical tanker is the most complete realisation of Sjaak Oudakker’s vision to date: carrying a lot of cargo, even at extremely low water levels – without compromising on safety, flexibility or efficiency.
The mts Oranje Nassau VII is a 135 by 14 metre chemical tanker and the seventh addition to the Oudcomb B.V. fleet. After arriving from China, the vessel was fitted out at Neptune Marine with, among other things, two bow thrusters, three thrusters, spud poles and box coolers.
P.C. Kamp Scheeps- en Constructiewerken then completed the vessel, including the full technical and nautical finishing. After a week of trial runs – for the yard and for Lloyd’s Register – the Oranje Nassau VII was christened on 25 September at More-itz in Drimmelen, surrounded by family, friends and business relations.
The vessel was developed and built together with Mercurius Shipping Group. It is the second ship in this series and the next step in the expansion and modernisation of our fleet.
